Steak and Pumpkin Bread

Mmm, bread.

Of course, out of all of the things that I could have cooked? I chose pumpkin bread. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with that! At least if you don't count how sinfully~ delicious it is. The day before yesterday was my first try. I followed all of the instructions, mixed everything in order of listing, baked it as long as it said -- and it tasted like paste. Fantastic.

Nut Cake with Brittany

Sissy asked me to contribute and.. look who's here! After chatting and snagging a few recipes from her Celtic Cookbook, I decided to try out the Nut Cake. Now, for this recipe you're going to need a bunt, or tube as it's sometimes called, pan. My mother's bunt pan kind of burned the bottom (Now the top of my cake since you have to flip bunt cakes) of my cake but it's really not that bad. Alright, I'll stop yapping and get to the good stuff!

An Introduction

Some of you may know me from Desudesbrigade.com.
Some of you may know me from school or work.
But, I'm sure few of you knew that I... COOK! Yes, I cook, like a good wom--/hit. I mean... -u-

Well, I'm really lucky with guess work is more like it. I put two and two together, and thanks to logic and observation, things tend to come out pretty damn tasty. No one complaining there, hm? Certainly not my roommate! And I enjoy it. It's fun putting together the pieces of the potion and watching it brew~. Especially when you can chow down on the results!

That's pretty much the gist of this blog~.

I'll whip up a couple things, share my recipes, and post some pictures of the final project. Nothing too fancy, just spreading the knowledge / fun around. Speaking of which, I recently purchased a cookbook: Celtic Folklore Cooking by Joanna Asala. I'd recommend it to anyone interested in traditional, fresh recipes. This has everything from beverages to desserts all of the Celt flavoring.

Although, be forewarned, there are references to Pagan/Wicca/Etc, etc, etc. all throughout it from cover to cover. I, myself, don't mind, seeing as how I'm a practitioner. But! If that's not your cup of tea, this blog probably won't be to your enjoyment -- and I'm sure Martha Stuart or Paula Dean will do just fine for you. /shrug.

Anyway, I'll be posting soon! Thanks for visiting and Blessed Be!
